This was a Christmas gift for my father in December of 2019. I secretly installed it when I borrowed his truck one day. I chose the 5 coil (2 zone) qi charger for maximum surface area. The top have of the tray has 3 coils and the bottom half has 2 coils. If the phone slides from top to bottom or vice versa, the zone switches over and it pops-up with the charging symbol again to let you know. The phone can be placed anywhere in the tray, it will always be able to charge.
